Can You Really Make Money With Google Adsense?

We have been exposed with lots and lots of ways to make money online. We have came across affiliate programs, network marketing or even get rich quick schemes among the ways to make money online. One of the ways to make money is by Google Adsense.

What is Google Adsense?

For the benefit of those who doesn’t know what is Google Adsense, it is actually a pay per click program by the search engine giant Google to display ads on your own website and get paid for each click people made.

How Much Can You Really Make From Google Adsense?

To know roughly how much you can earn from Google Adsense is to look at Google Adwords which is a program by Google for Advertisers. How much money would advertisers really want to spend on people clicking their ads? That’s the big question as it relates to how much we can earn from Google Adsense.

The rule is simple. For each click people made, the Advertiser will pay Google and Google pays you. It’s advertiser’s money less Google’s margin equals your Google Adsense’s earnings.

How much money for each click? The answer really relies on Google itself as Google provides the statistics. As I gather using Keyword Elite software from one of the keyword that I searched, the most expensive Advertisements on Google Adwords would be around $70. However, how many of the advertisers would really want to spend that much money on people clicking their Ads? Most Advertisements by advertisers on Google Adwords are in the range of $0.30 to $1.00 per click. Unless you managed to draw all the high paying Ads to your websites or Hubs, you will probably earn $0.05 to $0.50 based on potentially 50:50 equations.

Case Study: The Hub “Guide to Using JDownloader”

As a base for analysis, I take one of my hub for example. My hub “ Guide to Using JDownloader” is ranked no 7 on Google search. It’s quite a high ranking in the Google search as when people searched for keywords Guide Jdownloader or Jdownloader Guide, the hub should appear on the first page of the Google search.

For 3 months, the hub received 700 hits or 230 hits per month. The clicks received from this hub are around 6 clicks. For calculation, I’ll take it for average 2 clicks for 250 hits. With a straight line assumption, you’ll get 4 clicks for 500 hits and 10 clicks 1250 hits.

With the estimation of the number of clicks per hits, let us calculate how much money you can earn from the clicks. Let’s take the median of $0.25 per click, you’ll earn $1.00 for the 4 clicks you have with 500 hits.

Is it discouraging to earn only $20.00 for 10000 hits? You actually shouldn’t. Taking again my example of “Guide to Using Jdownloader”, I get 250 hits for this article per month. To get 10000 hits, you’ll only need to write 40 good articles. With 100 good articles, you may earn close to $50.00. That’s the general guide on how many articles you’ll need to reach your goal.

Making More Money with Google Adsense

It’s no secret that you can make more money from Google Adsense by attracting the high paying Ads to your sites or hubs. The theory on how too attract the high paying Ads is by having the high paying keywords in 10 to 30 percent of the content in your article.
